The BASW Program admits new students only in the fall quarter due to the sequencing of courses. Applications for admission are accepted the previous May. We accept applications until the cohort is full. If not already a CSUSB student, students must apply to both the University and the BASW Program.
BASW Admission Information Sessions will be held October 18, 2007 from 4-5:30 pm in the Panarama Room, CSUSB, December 3, 2007 from 5-6:30 pm in the Panarama Room, CSUSB, February 7, 2008 from 7-8:30 pm in the Panarama Room, CSUSB, March 10, 2008 from 5-6:30 pm in the Panarama Room, CSUSB, April 14, 2008 from 5-6:30 pm in the Pine Room CO-125, and May 8, 2008 from 4-5:30 pm in the Eucalyptus Room CO-103. Please read the website information and attend an information session before scheduling individual appointments. We have also developed a powerpoint slide program that we will use at our admission information session. You are welcome to view the slide program.
Certain prerequisites (see chart below) are required. In addition, a minimum 2.0 overall GPA and "C" grades are required in SW 200, Statistics and CJUS 101. Application packets for the BASW Program include a personal statement, references, transcripts and an initial plan of study (see chart below). Please remember that applications are accepted only during the month of May. To view or print the application packet , you must have Adobe Acrobat Reader loaded on your computer.
