Zoila Gordon is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with almost 27 years in the field of social work. Ms. Gordon worked 5 years as a psychiatric Social Worker for Los Angeles County Mental Health. There she worked providing therapy to children and family with emotional disorder.

Ms. Gordon also worked as a Medical Social Worker for 9 years, of which one year was with Casa Colina Rehab Center with brain injured patients and 8 years at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center. She provided psychosocial intervention to patients dealing with medical, emotional, and financial problems.

Ms. Gordon has always had a burning desire to teach and pass on valuable knowledge to others entering the field of social work. For several years, she was a field instructor for social work students. She then went on to teach at La Sierra University BSW program for 4 years. She was a full-time Assistant Professor and Field Coordinator. Ms. Gordon joined the Title IV-E faculty at CSUSB in September, 1999.

Ms. Gordon is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Social Work Policy at Loma Linda University.
