George Taylor has extensive experience in providing social work programming to healthcare and mental health care settings. Primary interests include physical medicine and rehabilitation, health behaviors, evaluations and interventions. Interests also include developing programs for homelessness, substance abusers and minority health concerns.
While employed at the Veterans Administration, Mr. Taylor authored, received funding, and established programs for homeless outreach, cocaine treatment, and long term housing for the homeless in conjunction with the Los Angeles Area Office of Housing and Urban Development. He served a site manager of the nationally directed research component of these programs, all of which were located in the Skid Row section of downtown Los Angeles. He has served on national VA Social Work and Homeless Committees.
Mr. Taylor joined the faculty at California State University, San Bernardino in the summer of 1999 as Title IV-E faculty liaison.
