MSW Elective Courses

The MSW program requires one elective course. Elective courses are offered during the academic year. The particular electives offered and the term in which they are offered may vary from year to year.

Several of the MSW program's electives meet requirements for the California License for Clinical Social Work (LCSW), but these requirements may also be met through shorter workshops taken after graduation. In selecting MSW electives, students should give priority to what they most need to learn while they are in graduate school.
