Future social work professionals united for social justice

Welcome!

Welcome to the Social Work Student Association (SWSA) at California State University San Bernardino. Our mission is to unite CSUSB social work students and provide an environment in which we can collectively practice our profession's core values to advocate for and empower those in need.

We are especially motivated to find ways to connect the various cohorts in ways that foster mutual communication and learning.

Director's Message

Dear Part-time and Full-time Students:

I want to welcome new and returning MSW students! As you know, SWSA is your student-based and student-run organization in the School of Social Work. This year we have a particularly strong SWSA administration.

As you know, SWSA is run by full-time and part-time MSW students. This full-time/part-time blend of students represents a wide range of viewpoints and goals. I want to encourage you to attend one of SWSA's meetings. This year, SWSA is holding meetings during times that are convenient to both full and part-time students. Attending SWSA meetings is a good way to get a full view of the entire School of Social Work.

Again, I want to welcome our new and returning students who are both part-time and full-time. I trust we will all learn a lot, meet new people, and end the year knowing far more than when we first entered the program. I know I always do.

Best,

Thomas Davis, Ph.D.
Associate Professor
Director of Student Life
